This is just f*cked up continuity.

How can vorador survive a beheading? I know you might say heart of darkness, but obviously, that must have been used to resurrect janos, and if not, theres no way he should be around either. I know SR and BO are produced by different teams, but i always felt that BO was the supplement to soul reavers story. i know i should have faith in the team, but its practically impossible for a logical conclusion.

At the end of Soul Reaver 2, Kain and Raziel change history. Blood Omen 2 takes place in the altered history that they created, so some stuff is different, such as Vorador and Janos being alive. This is the official excuse of the development teams who make the games.

I have a theory that the Blood Omen 2 Team just screwed up, since they only seem to have a basic knowledge of the LOK plotline. Then the Soul Reaver Team said it was on the altered timeline to make sure the Blood Omen 2 guys haven't ruined their awesome story. But that's just my suspicion, and it's a good excuse anyway.

Amy Hennig strives for consistency in the LoK universe, and, although she had no say in the development of the story of Blood Omen 2, she did read the plot to see how future games could tie in with the developments. I believe that Amy will explain Vorador's appearance perfectly, just have faith...

that's also my logical conculsion to this problem, but then again I never played SR2, just read some of the story

I always had this idea that vorador doesnt get beheaded because of the "altered timeline" for this to happen, i imagine that Kain woudnt go back in history to kill William the just, Moebius woundnt have motive for the genocidal war against the Vampire race.But....then there is the fact that Kain says to Vorador.....(BO2)"do u so wish to return to the grave"which gives the idea that Kain(young) re-vived him sometime after re-fusing the sacrifice,i agree that the BO2 team just messed up this part of the game.None the less it hopefully will be explained in full in the next game.

Good one, Triple Wing, I wonder what Kain meant when
he said that. Of course, it could be a simple mess up from
the BO2 developing team, or maybe Vorador was ressurected,
after all. Since BO2 is on the alternate time line this seems
highly unlikely...

It doesn't make sense with an altered timeline in BO2.
Actually a very importent plot in BO2 contradicts this, and his name is..... JANOSH ORDREN.

Janosh is in BO2 turned into some kind of monster in great pain which fuels the hyldens machine (or so it seemed to me). He also clearly states that Kain had met with Janosh before, and that he had been turned because of his lost heart.

So if the programmers states that a timeflux is the cause of all this I just call it a bad excuse.

Second. One way that Vorador could have been ressurected would be with the 'heart of Darkness' (bad game, good relic). This could also explain why Janosh is to stay "dead", because Vorador has such an important part in Kains fate, and general upbringing as a vampire.

JANOS must stay dead because The Sarafan Lord throws him into the Hylden Dimension.Raziel WILL restore Janos.....he already has, Janos is alive in BO2 because Raziel restored him,and he knows Kain because he must have met ancient Kain sometime b4 or after the "restoration".

His name is Janos Audron.

Yes on the Bonus material etc on the ps2 version of SR2.

Ok, then its probably just because of his "classic vampire"/transylvanian-accent that it sounds like Janosh Ordren (and personally I think its alot cooler).

-Maybe I should get that version too.

Raziel revived Janos because he diddnt hear Kains warning at the end of SR2. Janos meets his end when he is thrown into the Hilden Gate.

It doesnt state in anything that Janos is killed when thrown into the Demon dimension,he is traped i think.
