Hey all! It's been a while. I've got a question that's been
bugging me for quite a while. It's petty, but also annoyingly persistent.
What are those cape tartan-like draperies on their arms (on his back, in the case of Kain) called? Raziel's cowl is the same thing. But it is not a cowl, nor it is technically a cape. Shoulder capes go all the way around and are far too short. Half capes are too short, as well, and go across the full back. These fabrics that show the clan symbols go well past the arm, but only covers one shoulder on the Lieutenants and barely covers half Kain's back. Cowls indicate a hooded garment, like those that monks wear... Kain's cloth is especially vexing because of its rather unique design.
So, do these things even have a proper name? Or is it all just in-game Vampire fashion built off the the LoK concept artists' minds? If you know of such a garment (my friend claims that it is a real piece of clothing, but does not know its name). If anyone is a fashion/tailor/clothing buff, please let me know.
Thank you!
