Posts: 1 (03/28/09 05:09 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	I have a question about the extracting the files from this game, and was hoping someone here might be able to help. I am trying to put together a map of the game. Here is a small preview of what it looks like so far (just started so not a lot of content) (Warning: fairly large sized image) http://i42.photobucket.co...ubliusCanis/MAIN_MAP.jpg But it takes a couple minutes to add in each section. Is there a way to extract the main map directly from the game files? I looked in the PILL.BIG but the only image files I could find there was other still images, buttons, menus, ect.; no maps. I didn't even find a tileset in there, which I was also looking for. So, is it possible to extract these?

Also many locations are only reached by flight so you'll only be able to assemble certain locations. Add to that the fact that all later games don't rely on these maps very heavily, so it may makes sense to simply capture specific locations like villages, castles, the Lost City...etc instead of every crook and turn.. The Birds ARE watching you.

I didnt see it in the pill.big which is the only archive that I know how to unstuff. I guess I shall continue with my playthrough and assembly from screenshots.

Posts: 396 (03/31/09 06:51 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	No one has publicly reverse-engineered the tile/map file formats for Blood Omen. Unless you want to become the person that does it, you're best off taking screenshots. If you use Andrew's trainer and the walk-through-walls mode, you can get to all of the map sections, even the ones that are not otherwise accessible, like the tiny version of Malek's Bastion that's on the main map. Be aware that the game will crash if you try to access a map section that doesn't exist, and conversely if the game crashes when you walk off the edge of a map section in a particular direction, it probably means that there is no section where you tried to go.
