have you tried reinstalling those components?
i think blinc still visits here and will be happy to help and if all else fails you could try using modelex in a virtual machine, but maybe that's going to far and it might now work

anyway i really like your models
what are you using? maya or max?

edit: nevermind i see you use max
if what you want is a refrence i could give you a model i extracted from defiance using 3dripper
it's a very messy mesh and is probably a bit skewed because of the way 3dripper dumps the graphical data, but as reference it may be useful

here's a screenshot, i'm missing the texture oddly, but anyway they were also there and worked in max, as you can see the uvs were also preserved
just that the mesh is a horrible mess
