Perhaps someone should ask CD about it.

No matter what theory you use, there is not enough consistency to make one stand out more than any other.

Why does Kain, who was created by necromancy, look one way, and Raziel, who was created by Kain, another?

Why does Raziel, who, as far as we know, have nothing in common with Janos Audron, yet begin to resemble him, both before and after he 'dies' the second time?

Where did the problem come from? Considering the enormous number of changes to SR before it was released, it's not hard to figure that inconsistencies could creep in, as most facets of the game are completely interdependent on the others. Even seemingly minor and inconsequential changes can have major consequences later on. The changes they made to the game were not small.

I'm sure there are many other questions, too. What I am not sure of is CDs ability to tie the facts together to make the situation credible. And that's not a slam against CD. I don't think anyone could do it. They either have to make the best of it, and in doing so, contradict previous canon. Or come up with something that covers all bases, no matter how ridiculous. I hope it's the former.
