In blood omen 2 the hylden use glyph magic, which is deadly to vampires, through out the city as both a power source and a weapon against vampires. But I am curious on where the hylden draw their power. In the device they used janos to power it and through out the device and hylden city you see humans in tubes and squished in to cans and stuff, so do they draw there power form other life forms or some thing, like harnesing a soul's energy to be used as magic?
Also in sour reaver raziel can acquire glyph spells, while most are elemental (light, fire, water, stone ect) and are fatal to vampires the shift and force glyphs do little. But raziel apparently uses another form of energy to cast these spells or what ever, but then again he must reave souls. This glyph magic is very different then that which the hylden used in BO2, but are they still hylden magic in origin?
I never had the chance to search some of the glyph temples in sr1 for hylden links or evidence but if any one has see any thing or have any theories on how the whole thing works please tell
