Strange comment by Kain |
Lead | |
|
Just before the "Wild Places" level, when Vorador tells Kain something about 'demons' being teleported in by the Nexus Stone, Kain says that he thinks he's already met one of them. Anybody have any idea what he's talking about? So far he's only tangled with Sarafan troops, traitor vampires, and common townsfolk. Is this maybe an indirect reference to the either deleted or postponed Raziel meets younger Kain interaction that Blincoln's site mentions as having been originally planned for SR2?

I think he is talking about the demon at the end of BO1. That's the only demon Kain has encountered

My guess. | ||

Maybe he was talking about the Sarafan Lord.
Or one of the creatures from BO1 (hehe still haven't played through that game yet). But like most of my guesses, this is probably 100% wrong |

It may be Hash. Kain has amnesia, surely the big boss thingy is going to stand out in his mind more than the demon hordes of Avernus, and so he's less likely to lose that memory.

I thought it was was because he had bumped into one of the demons earlier in BO2? It's been a while since I played the game through, but I'm sure his comment is purely directed at BO2 stuff.

From the times I've played through he never bumped into a demon in BO2 before that statement.

Exactly, Aradiel, which is what puzzled me. It would have made sense if they'd left the 'Raziel meets younger Kain' section in SR2 as supposedly originally planned (and would also have been kind of neat to have the two games referring 'back' to each other more than they do now), but with the SR2 section cut Kain's comment just sounds like an oversight at the recording studio.

He is talking about the last boss in BO1 how simple can it be. That and the demons of avernus are the only demon kain as met up to that point. and technically he knows the demons of Avernus where called by Azimut the planar and not by a portal so only the last boss remains.

"He is talking about the last boss in BO1 how simple can it be" Certainly a possibility. As for how simple it could be - well, Tomb Raider comes to mind. Fortunately, this isn't that game series. RazielFan

.....yeah, sorry i always forget about the truly simple games, altho the tomb raider movie could be considered even simpler hehe.
Anyway that demon is the only demon i can think of that Kain met that could have a link to the Sarafan/hylden |

You must of course take into account that Kain's memory is still not whole at this part. So he would slightly remember the demons from Blood Omen 1, but not enough to form a clear picture in his head.

I'd be willing to bet money he's talking about Hash (don't know how to spell the whole name. lol), since that's the real prominent encounter he's had with anything you could call a demon before this point.

I always thought this was simply a slight dig at Vorador himself.

Yeah, he saw a glyphwright, but he wouldn't have thought of them as demons. inhuman maybe, but not demons.

What Kain is refuring to are all the demons that you had to kill in BO1 on your way to the Avernus cathedral.

Somebody said that it could be referring to the cut-out part of where Raziel meets younger Kain.
First off, I believe he was talking about Hash'ak'gik. Or the demons throughout the BO1 game. Or both. Of course, there's been a rumor that since that part was cut from SR2(the Raz meets Kain) that it's gonna be in SR3. That goes along with how the elemental reavers weren't in SR2, so they'll be in SR3 and how Turel was supposed to be in SR2, so he'll be in SR3.Could all be rumors, could all be true, could be a mix, no one but Amy knows for now. I thinks he's referring to Hash. It's the simple explanation, which again, seems not good enough for most...
But that's what I'd put my money on. Hash or the other big demons in BO1. Yes, Kain did in fact, fight demons before, so why all the questioning about that phrase? |
