if you scroll down to the bottom there is a section entittled legacy of kain:canceled sequel with various environtment shots from an aparent build of the game. not sure if its legit just found it screwing around on google but if its real it doesn't bode well. if anyone can tell me who hausmann is that would be usefull.

apparently there is an aaron hausmann who worked on 25 to life as an artist, this being another game with material displayed in the portfolio.

There was LoK 6 in development in 2005, but it was frozen before announcement. Aaron Hausmann is the guy from Ritual Entertainment, currently closed. Back then CD worked with Ritual's developers on LoK and TR franchises.

Although this development was either frozen or canceled, LoK series isn't dead. You can read about it in the neighbourous thread.

really? i wasn't aware of that, thanks for the info. hopefully your right about that, i kinda thought the shots looked somewhat dated anyway and it would make sense if they were from 2005. if this was common knowlege then sorry about that.

But If it is true than It means that they already had some idea of a sequel. By that I mean the story. Maybe Amy left the company leaving enough of the material for another game.

God I'm so tired of this Amy this, Amy that, bullshit... like she is the ultimate God all-mighty and sacrificed her unborn fetus and smeared it with the blood of her own heart and by herself breathed life in to the Legacy... The Legacy was awesome before her, it could be awesome without her, and it could suck WITH her, it's all a matter of chance, BO1 started it all and it was probably the best game in the series and Amy wasn't there, so quit acting like she is the only person to ever participate in the genius of LoK.

Rant over... but I really am tired of this Amy asskissery.

Gonna have to agree with Robby on this one. She was only present for three of the five games. While her storytelling brought me the Kain I know and love, it was time for her to step down and let someone else take the reins. Perhaps she was burnt out on the mess she'd created, it happens. Writers can write themselves into plotholes and corners. Maybe the original writers at Silicon Knights should take over?

Wasn't it on BLinc's site that she had the entire thing wirtten (at least roughly) and passed all the materail onto the other guys before she left... who then also left?

Anybody saw that movie "Chasing Amy"

The point is that someone somewhere has the finished plot of LoK. And if that is so than another game is just a question of time.
I mean If you have to make a story based game and the story is already written than "half" the work is done.

Just so long as they don't get a completely new team to work on the series, I'll be okay. The last thing we (or LOK itself) need, is an uneducated outsider adding their own spin on the game's events. This is how we ended up with the whole BO2 plothole.

Well f u c k i n g put, Robbie! Damn, you nailed it exactly, even I didn't really consider the fact that Amy might not be vital to a great game, good point about BO1, as well. Hell, maybe a new team is what the franchise needs! And for the record, I loved BO2, thought Umah was a great character and extremely well voiced, so screw all of you...

More than a Serafan stronghold...it looks like a Serafan mausoleum/tomb.....it might be the tomb were Raziel and his brothers were buried.....and the game might have started of by bringing their souls back and turning them into vampires

To be fair if those images were actual images that they were making for the game I would be thoroughly disappointed. I know they are just rough renders and probably far from what they actually would be when they (if they) were finished but seriously =/ oh and notice that the little HUD thing on the bottom left of the screen is the same thing as you get in Blood Omen 2.

If anyone thinks that they were the images for a new LoK game then they really need their eyes testing. The images even look like something from Blood Omen 2.

To be honest, I really don't care if there is another game or not because to me the series is finished and prize it for what it is and if there is another game or not I wont be disappointed but if it looks like THAT then I would be rather pi$$ed off.

Oh and how come when I mentioned that if they make a new game then i would want the team that did the other games barring BO2 (for OBVIOUS reasons as an entirely different team made it) I got slated for being foolish, well thanks people =/

Anywho, this whole 'OMIGADZ NU LOK GAEM' is getting tiresome, there ISNT going to be another one, get the fook over it.

Don't be cruell heartless. Some of us have necromantic metabolism (faith) still. After all the series created 5 wonderfull games (please elaborate about y u dont likeBO2. it happens to be my favorite). It payed well enough till now and created almost a funclub almost as large and dedicated as TR. They must certenly see that 1 final shot is worth it. We ve seen worse games having the succes that LoK deserves. The matter is that the team (wich ever it may be) stay as true to the story as possible and do something worthwhile with the PS3 and similar engines, unlike what they did to Defiance. (worst of the series but still very good)
