Look at these:

Now I'll start with the first one. I like to call these guys Hash, Ak and Gikk. The Hylden Generals. You see the two at the bottom (Mr Long-Elbows and Mr I'm-in-a-Dress) are you standard Hylden. All know that who have played BO2. They are everywhere, normally posing as Glyph Wraiths (see my profile picture for what that is)... however the other three tickle my idea nerves a little too much.
I've got my own theories about the Hylden Lord himself, and if this thread goes on for a while I'll put them up if ya wanna hear them, but these three are just to hard to resist.
I think that if the Hylden were ever fully explored, either in returning completely or going to the D.D, we would see these colorful characters plus a hist more.
The Blue Energy ball Hylden seems like he would be a good character to face. Like a modified and up to scratch version of DeJoule. He seems to be so powerful that his energy is eating his own body. He could be a ticking time bomb and dangerous to his own kind. Heh... he may even be shunned by them and searching for a host body, one far more durable... say like the Guardian of the Pillar of Energy perhaps...?
The Hylden at the top who seems to be hardly all there could easily be the assassin of the Hylden world, and maybe a subdivision that are just assassins and ultimate guards. The ultimate guard in fact that can't truly be hit but claw at your health with ease.
Finally the one wielding the spell may have been the one who cursed the Ancients... and this is important. Why? Because they are said to have cursed the Ancients as they did but you never see the Hylden using any real magic. Its all technology and possession with them. So this could simply show that they could either use magic also, or much like there was only one Builder, only one of them can wields the arcane forces... and imagine how powerful he could potentially be.
I put a pic of the Hylden Lord there, as well as a pre-fallen Hylden pic, just to gain some more visual insight on the Hylden. They were clearly not angelic as the Ancients had been, but far more human like than humans. If you don't count the head and bat wings/protrusions.
They so clearly look like a race that would wield technology over anything else. Smug and pompous. Even the Hylden Lord in all his fallen glory gives you the slight hint of being smug and proud of what he has become. He never shuns his own appearance and seems to use it more out of anything to keep his respect.
Ofcourse there's more:

I believe this is the Hylden Lord before he fell, so this could very much be the true face of the enemy and whom the Ancients lead their armies against back in the day. The female beside him... well I'm a firm believer that as their was a General/Lord among the Hylden then there had to have been a 'Queen.' This may not be her but its as close as you can get for imagery.
Why believe this? Well there's a simple answer for that. After the Hylden Lord dies, and his soul is recycled by the Soul Reaver blade, who would motivate the Hylden to breach through again and have revenge. Well Lord's lover of course. The Hylden by themselves don't strike me as the kind of guys and gals who would return by themselves for revenge, regardless of how mad with vengeance they may be, but with a leader that all goes out the window. A leader could make them do anything i my eyes. Even find a new way back into Nosgoth for the pen-ultimate showdown.
I don't know... I'm rambling now. What are your thoughts on all this anyway?
