the idea of revisiting the empire during the brief moment Raziel could fly makes us horny for several reasons: It's the joy of coming full circle. The series (for most of us) opened with seeing Raziel's wings and being unable to ever use them. So this would be wish fulfilment. There's also the fact that much mystery still surrounds the moment when Raziel was thrown into the abyss. I mean, there's more story to tell there. Because even if it was just simple jealousy on Kain's part, we still don't know WHY or HOW that vain act became the center of history, why or how the soul of Raziel was selected to become the soul reaver and the unkillable wraith with the power to choose Nosgoth's fate. Maybe his actions BEFORE he was killed set that into motion, you know? Maybe he'd uncovered more of Nosgoth's secrets than Kain had at that point, in places only wings could reach, and had been annointed as the messiah already, his advanced evolution being the physical evidence of his status as the chosen one? Maybe this was what Kain was really jealous about, and K. wanted to keep him from blabbing and replacing him as the most important dead thing. And we could see through Raz's eyes the corruption of the empire, the reasons why history could no longer be redeemed anymore in SR1 times. |

Wasn't that 'brief moment' only about a second or two? I thought he only formed those wings while
he was in front of Kain. I suppose it wasn't vary clear, but still you don't see his wings before that moment and I think Kain would of noticed if they
where just folded up behind him.

It's about the copyrights. Characters, story etc are all trademarks of Eidos. If he don't has a permission, it's illegal actually. If Eidos allows
this, is it probably not planned to make a new game in the next 2 years, I guess.(I hope I'm wrong) Well, possible, that someone really rediscovers our
series in a couple of years and remakes the games, we will see. If they do so, it's more possible to get the new game then, than now , I fear :,(

This is exactly the kind of setting I've been hoping for in an LoK game but it looks way too ambitious for a fan-made game. Best of luck to the creator,
though. I'll certainly be giving it a try.
P.S. "Apparently it's been confirmed by the games creators that Kain did that because he knew he had to, but then again it does say otherwise in the SR1 manual." SR2 and Defiance prove the SR1 manual wrong in this case.

Also, I'm not aware of Eidos having "forbade" anything. They were actually OK with someone's plan to make a (free) Blood Omen remake using
Neverwinter Nights, even though that project never really went anywhere.

it's great to see any lok game.
