On Thursday David Hayter, the voice of Solid Snake since 1998's Metal Gear Solid tweeted that he had not been asked back to play the role in Konami's upcoming Metal Gear Solid V. In an interview yesterday Metal Gear series creator and director Hideo Kojima confirmed that Hayter would not be participating in the project. Kojima is however notorious for being evasive and deceptive when promoting the Metal Gear series, ranging from half truths to full blown lies. Hopefully this is one of those times Kojima's is just trying to stir the pot. However, there is an online fan petition for Hayter's inclusion in the game which you can sign here https://www.change.org/petitions/kojima-productions-bring-back-david-hayter-as-the-voice-actor-for-snake-in-mgs-v
Usually, I'm the first one to mention how useless online (or really any) petitions are. However, this one has already been acknowledged by Hayter and I think it's cool to show a little bit of solidarity behind the man who has really breathed life into the Snake character.
